JUSTHEAL Lab

Justice, Health, Action, Liberation

JUSTHEAL Lab (Justice, Health, Action, Liberation) is a research collective dedicated to exploring the intersections of healthcare, social justice, and human rights. Our work brings forward stories of resilience, caregiving, and survival in the face of conflict, displacement, and systemic inequities.

We focus on community-driven, trauma-informed, and historically grounded research that highlights voices too often left unheard. Through oral histories, collaborative projects, and knowledge exchange, we seek to document experiences of healthcare workers, patients, and communities navigating the challenges of war, forced migration, colonial legacies, and systemic barriers to care.

JUSTHEAL Lab is not only about knowledge but also about action. We believe that research must move beyond theory into practice supporting advocacy, education, and community partnerships that can create tangible improvements in health and wellbeing.

At the same time, we center liberation as both a goal and a process. Liberation means dismantling structures of oppression and enabling individuals and communities to reclaim dignity, autonomy, and self-determination. By connecting justice, health, action, and liberation, the Lab serves as a hub for dialogue, education, and transformation.

At its core, the Lab is guided by a belief that healing is inseparable from justice. By amplifying marginalized voices and creating spaces for collaborative knowledge, we aim to contribute to healthier, more just, and freer futures.
